I have recently opened my beautiful, spacious (2,400 sq
ft) Maya Moon Studio in Santa Fe to teach the processes that I use in
my sculpture. I also plan to teach a variety of workshops to re-awaken
the creative core in adults who do not consider themselves to be creative!
I believe that as each of us accesses our creative cores, we can bring
empowering, healing energy to the planet. Stay tuned for updates.

Kiln Building Workshop
March 22 - 23 (9 - 6 pm both days)
Maya Moon Studio will be hosting a workshop led by Larry Fielder, an artist
who has built many glass kilns for various processes such as fusing, casting
and annealing. He has also taught numerous kiln building workshops.
Workshop cost is $300, with 1/2 fee
at time of registration in order to hold your place. Payments can be
made by check or by Visa/Mastercard.
A large bell kiln, approximately 3 ft by 6 ft by 1.5 ft tall, will be
built during the workshop. The building techniques can be applied to
all sizes of kilns. Larry will demonstrate the entire kiln building
process, from start to finish. In addition, each participant will receive
a complete bound set of notes with sources for materials and pictures
of the process. Options for different types of materials used in kiln
construction will be discussed.
Larry will discuss the various design considerations for
various glass processes. Elements will be attached to the kiln lid and
walls with quartz tubes and connected to a Digitry controller. In addition,
Larry will show how to build your own controller. He will also bring
along a controller he has built.
